1. Alone at the top. On Sunday, Diana became the first player to EVER score 9,000 points in the WNBA! To make it sweeter, she accomplished it in a win in front of the first full capacity home crowd of the year…but says she’s not ready to celebrate till she reaches 10K.
  2. Welcome to the Space Jam! That’s right, Diana’s taking her talents to a big screen near you in Space Jam: A New Legacy. A member of the Goon Squad, Diana will be playing herself- White Mamba- a cartoon version of her nickname!
  3. The logo? When the WNBA introduced their new logo in 2019, some wondered if Diana was the inspo behind it. Well, Diana’s son Leo does in fact think she’s the logo. According to Dee, whenever Leo sees the logo, he points and says “Mama”!
  4. Soccer almost stole her heart. Growing up, Diana played both soccer and basketball. But get this, she actually liked soccer more! Her dad ultimately encouraged her to pursue basketball, so she started playing organized ball in sixth grade and the rest is history!
  5. She’s proud of her Latin roots! Diana’s parents came to America after getting married, making her a first-generation American. With roots in Italy and Argentina, Dee grew up speaking Spanish at home, listening to Spanish music, and eating LOTS of Italian food!

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
