1. The top QB in the Draft became a QB by chance. We all know that Joe’s dad, Jimmy, was a defensive back when he played professionally. So why did Joe go a different route? His third-grade team didn’t have a QB. So, he became the QB. #legend
  2. As soon as he’s back in the city they…create a dish? Oh yeah, and it’s called The Bengal King (of course). Izzy’s, a deli chain in Cinci, has created a sandwich to celebrate the top pick. The Bengal King is a riff on the classic Reuben featuring corned beef, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, and Swiss on grilled marble rye. Do they ship?
  3. LeBron has The Decision, Joe has The Speech. When Joe accepted his Heisman Trophy in December, unscripted, he spoke about poverty in his home region of southeast Ohio. He was up there to show all those kids anything was possible. His speech was so inspiring that a fundraising page was created by a town citizen which raised nearly $500K to benefit the Athens County Food Pantry.
  4. He has a hidden talent…sort of! Joe has dabbled in playing the guitar, and by dabbled we mean he knows how to play one song. That song is Tom Petty’s “Free Fallin”, a truly great one to belt out. Wonder if Joe’s thought about picking it back up while in quarantine?
  5. Who needs coffee? Joe starts his day with an apple! In fact, he loves apples so much that they’re part of one of his superstitions. Last summer, Joe admitted that he has to eat a caramel apple lollipop before every single game. We’re def not judging. #yummy

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
