Below I appeared on the TYT Sports panel where I chatted about the new trend of NBA owners becoming celebrities and personalities.

The 2015 NBA season had multiple story lines, but the one that kicked off the season was entirely centered around ex-Clippers Owner Donald Sterling. His racist tirade caused uproar and the result was the eventual sale of the team to Steve Ballmer, a fan favorite across the league with some intense dance moves. The billionaire is as much a fan of the team as he is an owner and a can’t miss highlight reel on the sidelines. Mark Cuban was one of the first owners to be part of the mainstream media and nowadays, owners have taken on a celebrity like status.

Is it good or bad for the NBA that the owners have taken on a celebrity status?
