It’s week 14 and the Denver Broncos are on an eight game losing streak. It’s time for this week’s edition of Talking Touchdowns and it seems like maybe we should be talking turnovers. The 3-9 Denver Broncos will host the 5-7 New York Jets at home on Sunday.

Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets

Let’s take look at the match up:

The Broncos storyline seems to be consistent through their eight-game losing streak: bad football, turnovers, and loses.

During the loss against the Miami Dolphins, Trevor Siemian threw three interceptions, and the Broncos suffered two fumbles, one coming from Isaiah McKenzie who now has six fumbles on the season….why that guy is still allowed to touch a football is a mystery.

Meanwhile, the New York Jets won a big game against the Kansas City Chiefs who are still sitting in first place in the AFC West despite a four game losing streak.

The Jets capitalized on Chiefs’ penalties in crucial moments of the game, to hang on to the win, which is bad news for the Broncos, considering the lack of discipline this team has shown through the last eight weeks.

Mathematically for the Broncos, there is the slightest chance that they make playoffs but that percentage is slightly higher for the Jets. But according to FiveThirtyEight.com both teams have less than a 1% chance of making the playoffs. (Cue the Dumb and Dumber gifs)

Game Prediction

My game prediction is Jets 21 Broncos 9.
