Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are making moves. First, there was the trade with the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 overall Draft pick. Then they signed WR Adam Thielen, and now they’ve added another receiver in DJ Chark.

With DJ Moore part of the deal with the Bears, head coach Frank Reich and the rebuilding Panthers needed some pass catchers. Reich and Panthers’ GM Scott Fitterer have been all over Pro Days scouting quarterbacks to take at No. 1.

Chark had 30 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns in his 2022 campaign with the Detroit Lions.

Rhys Hoskins

While fielding a ground ball in a spring training game on Thursday, it appears that Philadelphia Phillies first baseman tore his ACL in his left knee and will be out for the season. Hoskins is getting a second opinion, but team president Dave Dombrowski said Friday that he would be “shocked” if surgery isn’t required.

Hoskins hit .246 with 30 home runs and 79 RBIs in 2022. The Phillies were 2022 National League champions, losing to the Houston Astros in the World Series.
