1. Leading off. Ronald received the most votes in the NL to earn his spot as a starter in his fourth career MLB All-Star Game. He is the first player in MLB history to record 40 stolen bases, 20 home runs and 50 RBIs before the break!
  2. Becoming bilingual. Ronald was born and raised in Venezuela. He’s been learning how to speak English since his debut in 2018 and surprised fans earlier in the season when he preformed an interview in all English.
  3. La Bestia. Ronald’s nickname is “La Bestia” which translates to “The Beast” in English. He earned the title after going viral for pounding his chest and saying “I am a beast” in Spanish after scoring a game-tying home run in 2019.
  4. Lucky No. 13. Ronald sports the No. 13 in honor of his father Ronald Acuna Sr. His dad wore the number when he played in the minor leagues.
  5. Fan favorite. Ronald’s Braves jersey is the best-selling MLB jersey this season. He beat out Shohei Ohtani and Fernando Tatis Jr for the top spot.

I created Fangirl Sports Network as a place for female sports fans to follow their favorite teams with content and coverage that speaks directly to females. It started with one and then eight and now 32 NFL Fangirls and 15 NBA Fangirls.
