What’s up, Bolt Gang? The one and only Denzel Perryman was recently activated off of IR and made his first start last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Because I, and many other Charger fans, were so excited about the return of Perryman, I thought what better person than him to cover in this edition of 5 Fun Facts!
So, let’s get to know Denzel Perryman a little bit better!
Fact #1: Denzel has two beautiful daughters, Ella and Evee. According to one of his Instagram posts, Evee is born on the same day as Denzel’s grandmother. His Instagram shows just how proud of a father he is of the two.
Fact #2: Being in the NFL runs in the family for Perryman. His cousin, Quinton Dunbar, is currently a cornerback for the Washington Redskins.
Fact #3: In his free time, Denzel likes to play a little bowling. According to Chargers.com, he used to play everyday during the offseason in Miami and his highest score is a 200.
Fact #4: Denzel Perryman has been nicknamed “The Hammer.” I’m going to have to guess that that has something to do with his ability to tackle opponents.
Fact #5: He was actually named after the actor Denzel Washington. Who doesn’t love Remember the Titans?!
