Hello Ramily! We are officially at the halfway point as we head into Week 9, so it is time for a mid-season report card! Like most kids always are, I think the Rams should be a little nervous to receive this report card.
I grade our guys in a number of subjects, including:
- Quarterbacks. Excuse me, quarterback because we don’t use our number one draft pick that we gave up the world for. So Case Keenum, I mean. Keenum has 1708 passing yards thus far in the season, ranking him at number 21 in passing yards. That’s below mediocre. AND, he’s has the second most interceptions with 10, just one behind Ryan Fitzpatrick.
- Running Backs. Our star on offense, Todd Gurley. Gurley has 403 rushing yards for the season and currently sits at number 20 amongst running backs in the league. I think Gurley is actually giving all he can. Part of the issue is the offensive line and that is partially why we aren’t seeing INCREDIBLE stats from him, but overall he’s pretty decent.
- Wide Receivers. We’ve got three receivers that are making up the grade – Kenny Britt, Tavon Austin and Brian Quick. Kenny Britt sits at the top of the pack with 535 receiving yards for the season and ranks number 15 amongst the receivers. Brian Quick hits the midway point with 357 yards and three touchdowns, while Tavon Austin has 299 receiving yards and two touchdowns thus far. There is not much to brag about here, and they have a lot of work to do.
- Defense. The Rams defense has given up a total of 2403 yards so far this season and has given up an average of about 22 points per game. It ranks 23rd in the league in total defense. It’s not where you want to be, but also not the worse.
