Ugh, Ramily! We are SUFFERING together! So here’s the deal. Remember when we all were super excitedly watching Hard Knocks to get ready for the season and Jeff Fisher said he is NOT going 7-9? Well, the Los Angeles Rams are currently 3- 5. I’m not even sure we will make it to seven wins.
On this week’s Talking Touchdowns game preview, I share my thoughts, including:
- The conversation of the entire season – where in the heck is Jared Goff and what is so wrong with him that we can’t give him a try? In their last postgame press conferences, both Case Keenum and Fisher acknowledged that they heard the boos from the fans at the Coliseum.
- In Sunday’s game vs the below average Carolina Panthers, Keenum passed for 296 yards and Kenny Britt caught a 10-yard touchdown pass with 34 seconds left in the game. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH. The Rams defense had five sacks on Cam Newton and we still lost. The offense is clearly the problem and I think when your fans start to turn on you, it’s time to make a change.
- This week the Rams take on the Jets. The Jets were one of the most prolific offenses in 2015, but in 2016, they have struggled mightily with Ryan Fitzpatrick completing only 56% of his passes with eight touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also injured his MCL this past week, so its unclear if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s matchup.
